BriefCase 3.0 : Showcasing the Business Leaders of Tomorrow organized by the East West University Business Club

The BriefCase 3.0, a premier inter-university business case competition, was a remarkable showcase of creativity, leadership, and ambition, organized by the East West University Business Club (EWUBC) held on November 18, 2024, bringing together 10 highly competitive teams from top universities across the nation. This flagship event marked a significant milestone, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the East West University Business Club. BriefCase 3.0 was presented by Nippon Paint, powered by Yamaha, and co-sponsored by Speed in association with Monno Ceramics. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, had a great role throughout the whole event to inspire undergraduate students to participate in this platform to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical business applications. His inspirational thoughts in the competition honed the skills necessary for future business leaders.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests from the corporate sector who shared their insights with the young participants. Among them were Mr. Rasheed Islam, Managing Director of Monno Ceramics. Mr. Robin Mia, Head of Marketing at Nippon Paint Bangladesh. S.M. Mehedi Al Sheraji Shiblu, Senior Manager Brand at Akij Food & Beverage Ltd..The judging panel comprised esteemed professionals from various sectors, adding significant value to the competition with their expertise. Navid Sarwar, Country Consultant, Bangladesh at Lidl & Kaufland Asia Pte. Limited, and former Brand Manager at Berger Paints Bangladesh. Md. Naimul Haque, Head of Digital Branding & Retail Branding, Marketing & Communication. Shoaib Haque, Director of Strategic Brand Communication at Expressions Ltd. These judges brought a wealth of industry knowledge, offering valuable feedback to the participants and evaluating the business cases with a keen eye for innovation, feasibility, and market potential.
The competition featured 10 finalist teams who presented their business cases before an expert panel of judges. The presentations tested the participants' analytical skills, strategic thinking, and ability to articulate their ideas effectively under pressure. After an intense round of deliberations, the winners were announced, Champion: Team Nexaur claimed the top spot, showcasing exceptional strategic thinking and creative problem-solving. They were awarded a cash prize of 1,00,000 taka only with attractive gift hampers. First Runner-Up: Team ISB secured the second position, impressing the judges with their structured analysis and practical approach, earning a prize of 60,000 taka only. Second Runner-Up: Team Mockingjay took third place, demonstrating strong market insights and business acumen, and received a prize of 40,000 taka only. The campus buzzed with excitement as the club hosted a grand concert by “Shironamhin”, one of Bangladesh’s most beloved bands sponsored by Yamaha, to commemorate this significant milestone.
