Orientation Program for Graduate Diploma in Leather, Leather Goods, and Footwear Management Held at East West University

The Executive Development Center (EDC) under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) at East West University (EWU) successfully organized an Orientation Program for the Graduate Diploma in Leather, Leather Goods, and Footwear Management for Batch 3 and Batch 4. The event took place on 15 January 2025 at the S. M. Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery, EWU.
The program was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik, Pro Vice Chancellor of EWU, who attended as the Chief Guest. Mr. Mohammed Walid Hossain, Additional Secretary and Executive Program Director (EPD) of SICIP, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh, was the Special Guest. The event was chaired by Professor Dr. Tanbir Ahmed Chowdhury, Program Director of EDC, SICIP, EWU.
In his address, Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik emphasized the importance of industry-specific education and the role of the Graduate Diploma program in enhancing the skills and competitiveness of professionals in the leather, leather goods, and footwear sectors. Mr. Mohammed Walid Hossain highlighted the government's commitment to supporting industry-relevant educational initiatives and the significance of such programs in driving economic growth and innovation.
Professor Dr. Tanbir Ahmed Chowdhury, in his closing remarks, expressed his gratitude to the distinguished guests and participants. He reiterated the EDC's dedication to providing high-quality education and training that aligns with industry needs and fosters innovation. Dr. Mohammad Rezwanul Huq, Assistant Director, EDC and Associate Professor of the Department of CSE, EWU, hosted the program.
