Prof. Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza Participated as Guest of Honor and Judge at GRIC 2026 Bangladesh National Round

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering at East West University, attended the Global Robotics & Innovation Competition (GRIC) 2026 – Bangladesh National Round as a Guest of Honor and Judge on 8 May 2026 at United International University.
The program was organized by Robo Tech Valley and Tech Autocrats to encourage young innovators to explore Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and technology-based problem-solving. Recognized internationally, GRIC provides a platform for students and young innovators to present creative ideas and practical solutions to real-world challenges and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
More than 150 participants from different schools, colleges, and universities across Bangladesh took part in the national round. The event also welcomed international representatives, mentors, industry professionals, academics, and invited guests.
The competition included several segments, including the Project Showcase, Startup Cup, and Arena League (Mini Robo Soccer). During the event, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza evaluated different innovative projects and exchanged views with participants about research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the importance of emerging technologies in shaping future societies.
While speaking at the program, he highlighted the need for creativity, hands-on learning, and innovation-oriented education to prepare the younger generation for the fast-changing technological landscape. He also appreciated the enthusiasm, talent, and confidence demonstrated by the participants.
The event reflected the growing interest of Bangladeshi youth in robotics, AI, innovation, and startup culture, showcasing the country’s promising future in the global technology and innovation arena.
