East West University Honors Student Volunteers of the 24th Convocation

The Department of Student Welfare of East West University (EWU) arranged a special program to recognize and appreciate the dedicated student volunteers who played a crucial role in organizing the university's 24th Convocation last April. The "24th Convocation Volunteer Appreciation Certificate Giving Program" took place on 07 May 2025 at the CCC lobby of EWU, bringing together university officials and enthusiastic volunteers.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished members of the East West University community, including Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees; Professor Shams Rahman, PhD, Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer; and Mr. Mashfiqur Rahman, Registrar.

Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, in his address to the student volunteers, lauded their commitment and hard work, emphasizing the invaluable contribution they made to the smooth execution of the convocation ceremony. He highlighted the importance of volunteerism in fostering a sense of community and responsibility among students.

Echoing this sentiment, Professor Shams Rahman, PhD, Vice Chancellor, expressed his deep appreciation for the volunteers' dedication and enthusiasm. He acknowledged that their tireless efforts ensured a memorable and successful event for the graduating students and their families.

The program commenced with an inaugural address by Ms. Ismat Shereen, Adviser of the Department of Students' Welfare and Head of the Career Counselling Center (CCC), East West University. She commended the volunteers for their proactive involvement and positive attitude throughout the convocation preparations and the event itself.

Following the speeches, Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin and Professor Shams Rahman, PhD, along with other esteemed guests, had the honor of handing over appreciation certificates to the student volunteers. The certificates served as a token of gratitude from the university for their invaluable service and dedication.
