East West University Health and Well-being Club Successfully Concluded “Psyche Flow 2025”

East West University Health and Well-being Club, in collaboration with Bejoy Counseling & Wellness Institute and Team BSS, successfully concluded its two-day mental health festival “Psyche Flow 2025” on 2 November 2025. Psyche Flow began on 1 November 2025 with a presentation competition on topics relevant to mental health, held at Lecture Gallery# 550 from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The second day of Psych Flow began at 10:00 am with wellness activities and games on the badminton court and Wi-Fi zone and concluded with a seminar at Manzur Elahi auditorium that lasted from 1:10 pm to 4:00 pm. The wellness activities ranging from meditation and stress relief games to one-on-one therapy sessions saw active participation from students all throughout the day.

The seminar at Manzur Elahi auditorium was graced by the presence of esteemed Vice Chancellor, Shams Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Treasurer Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, faculty members and the founders of Bejoy Counseling. The seminar started with Bejoy Counseling Manager Director, Jacob Berlin, sharing his experience of arriving in Bangladesh and explaining how our mind leads our actions through a short skit. He was followed by the director of Bejoy Counseling Joya Berlin, who engaged the audience with a set of reflective questions about their passions, missions and visions relating to the Venn diagram of purpose. This segment received overwhelming participation and concluded with a lively Q&A session, where the audience members with the correct answers received gift hampers from Bejoy Counseling.

Next, Ismat Shereen, the head of East West University Career Counseling Center, spoke about the stigma surrounding mental health and commended Bejoy Counseling for collaborating with the Health and Well-being club.

Following her remarks, Honourable Treasurer Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury was called to the stage where he shared some personal anecdotes with the audience and encouraged hosting more seminars relevant to mental health. Afterwards, Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik emphasized the importance of mental health exercises like meditation. Finally, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shams Rahman, shared his views on mental health and the significant relationship between body and mind which is backed by multiple scholarly articles. This inspired the audience to take better care of their body.

The event concluded with the announcement and awarding of competition winners from day one, as well as the presentation of crests to the judges of the competition on day one and to Mr Jacob Berlin and Mrs Joya Berlin by the distinguished guests.
