‘Taru Sambhar’ organized by East West University Environmental & Social Club 2022

East West University Environmental & Social Club organized one of its signature programs named 'Taru Sambhar' after almost 2 years on 10th, 11th and 12th of April, with the aim of encouraging the young generation towards tree plantation to maintain ecological balance and to preserve the environment. During the three day continuation of the fair, the whole campus was adorned colorfully and exquisitely with various handmade decorative items. Almost 360 indoor and outdoor plants, including various fruit, floral, and medicinal plants, were available for purchase during the fair. The major goal of the fair was to motivate the youth to plant more trees and to move Bangladesh one step closer to achieving its "Greening'' goal.

The inauguration ceremony began at 10.30 am beside the reception area and at the WiFi zone, in the presence of several honorable dignitaries, such as; Dr. Farhana Ferdousi (Chairperson of Department of Business Administration), Md. Shazed Ul Hoq Khan Abir (Club Moderator & Senior Lecturer of English Department), Dr. Rumana Afroze (Assistant Professor of Business Administration Department) and Nahid Hasan Khan (Head of Student Welfare Department). Moreover, on 12th March (the last day of the fair), a workshop was held from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm to provide training to the university students to make them interested and proficient in rooftop gardening and indoor plantation.

The Founder and President of The Green Savers Organization,  Ahsan Rony, was the chief guest for the training session. The Head of Student Department Nahid Hasan Khan also accompanied him in the session.
