The emergence of ‘BRANDEISTER’- An Inter University Branding Competition


BRANDEISTER is an inter university business case competition based on branding. BRANDEISTER intended to enhance the creative mindset of the students at any universities of Bangladesh. East West University Creative Marketing Club is delighted to present a platform where branding enthusiasts went through the ultimate battle of branding by submitting their best branding ideas and strategies where they could live their visions.

The participants of BRANDEISTER were required to form a team with minimum 2 and maximum 3 undergraduate students of the same university. The registration of BRANDEISTER began 19th March and ended on 31st March. At the initial stage, ‘Emerge Your Excellence’ teams were asked to solve a case related to branding which was conducted on 1st April 2022. After the initial segment of the competition, a virtual workshop was conducted on 9th April before the Semi Finals 'Assemble the Puzzle’ where some experts led the team by giving their valuable insights. The Grand Finale ‘Head to the Glory’ took place on 25th April 2022 at Jalaluddin Ahmed Lecture Gallery, East West University.

With the participation of around 200 teams from prominent universities across the country, 25 teams were able to qualify for the Semi-Final and after the first two ferocious rounds, top 10 incredible teams qualified for the Grand Finale.

‘Team AzorAhai’ from Army Institute of Business Administration emerged as the Champion of ultimate branding showdown BRANDEISTER 2022 followed by ‘Horses of Helios’ from IBA, University of Dhaka as 1st Runners Up and ‘Straw Hat Pirates' from North South University as the 2nd Runners Up. The lucrative part of the competition was a prize pool of 100000 taka. The champion team was awarded taka 50,000. The first runner up 30,000 and the second runner was awarded taka 20,000. It not only limits prize money, EWUCMC provided certificates and crests along with exciting gifts to the finalists.

In conclusion, besides the remunerative prize pool, this event was a fantastic platform for every marketing enthusiast undergraduate to enhance their aptitudes not only academically but also professionally and socially. This event gave them a platform for creating affiliates with more networking through the competition and helped students to build a foundation with branding strategies. The benefits are not only limited to corporate segments, but also entrepreneurs who intend to launch their startups got an actual taste of the marketplace of branding.
