EKUSHER PROHOR


East West University club for performing arts honored international mother language day and organized an event named “EKUSHER PROHOR”. The event started paying respect to the martyrs by offering flowers in metaphorical Shaheed Minar. Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser and Founder, Vice Chancellor of the East West University, Board of trustees, Deans of different faculties, Faculty members, students of the university, along with the students and teachers of East West BidiyaNiketon School and the various clubs of EWU also pay homage to those brave sons of this soil who laid down their lives on this day in 1952 to establish Bangla as a state language. After offering flower, in remembrance of the martyrs and to celebrate the International Mother Language Day, East West University Club For Performing Arts (ECPA) organized a special cultural program in auditorium. The cultural program included music, dance, recitation, drama, poster exhibition, etc. ECPA presented a unforgettable music performance which enjoyed and appreciated broadly by audience. After a number of music performance, ECPA performed three significant dance performances. Every audience welcomed those dance performance by enormous applause. Finally ECPA presented a drama “AREK FALGUN” based on popular political novel written by Zahir Raihan. “AREK FALGUN” drama portrayed the student protests after ’52 language Movement’. This drama was awaking for every audience. At the end of the drama, actors presented the symbolic song of international mother language day and every audience pay their respect by standing up and sing the song in unison. By this memorable way, ECPA honored our mother language day.
