ANALYTICS 2.0 – Nation’s Biggest Digital Marketing Competition lives up to its glorious legacy!
East West University Creative Marketing Club which is Country’s First Ever Marketing Club has set a benchmark once again by giving rise to Nation’s Biggest Digital Marketing Competition – ANALYTICS 2.0.
In the incredible journey of 15 years, East West University Creative Marketing Club (EWUCMC) has established itself as one of the prestigious clubs of EWU by initiating many unique endeavors. The flagship event of the club is ANALYTICS which is known for being the Nation’s First Ever Digital Marketing Competition that was designed for Undergraduate students of the country.
The journey of ANALYTICS started back in 2017 and after 4 years, the long cherished event came back with its sequel – ANALYTICS 2.0. The main purpose of this case competition was to connect the students with actual applications of Digital Marketing in today’s era. Moreover, the competition was designed in such a way which encouraged all the teams to craft solutions that are more realistic as the cases itself were provided by real-life businesses operating in Bangladesh.
Promotions for ANALYTICS 2.0 commenced on May 2021. The promotional activities were one of a kind as many renowned content creators of the country were part of the grand event such as Rafsan Sabab and Keto Bhai (Mashrur Enan). However, the biggest jaw-dropper was the promotional video of ANALYTICS 2.0 which earned a massive coverage as it generated more than 20 thousand views. The workshop for Round-1 was conducted on 25th June where the Keynote Speaker was Farhat Chowdhury Zishan, Senior Specialist – Marketing Communications, Dotlines. He was also a member of the Champion team of ANALYTICS 2017.
Altogether, the competition had 3 rounds and all the rounds were incredibly challenging. From relaunching of an existing brand to tackling negative PR in the Semi-Final Round and crafting 360-degree digital marketing campaign in the Final Round – the competition had it all.
With the participation of 207 teams from eminent universities around the country, 30 teams qualified for the Semi-Final Round. After 1-month of fierce competition, 9 teams qualified for the Grand Finale. The Grand Finale was divided in two phases. Phase-1 commenced on 19th July and Phase-2 was held on 31st July. The Closing Ceremony later took place on 8th August where the Top 3 teams was announced live from the Facebook page of East West University Creative Marketing Club.
Primetime from BRAC University emerged as the CHAMPIONS followed by Team DIY from IBA, University of Dhaka as 1st RUNNERS UP and SINBAD N CO. from University of Dhaka as 2nd RUNNERS UP.
The Champion team received direct internship offer from Lie To Eye which is one of the most acclaimed advertising agencies of recent time and also the sponsor of ANALYTICS 2.0. Beside this lucrative opportunity, the Champion team was awarded with a prize money worth of BDT 50,000 followed by the 1st Runners Up with BDT 30,000 and 2nd Runners Up with BDT 20,000.
In conclusion, ANALYTICS 2.0 received great praises from the judges, EWU authorities as well as from the Top 3 teams for being a competition that truly highlighted the core of Digital Marketing and was “real” as quoted by one of the teams. East West University Creative Marketing Club looks forward to carry on the legacy of ANALYTICS in future so that it enables students to grow more and craft solutions that has real life impact on brands of today.
