Workshop on “Preparation for Accreditation: Documentation and Evidence”

The Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) and Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of East-West University (EWU) have jointly organized a workshop on “Preparation for Accreditation: Documentation and Evidence” for the members of the Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC) of the academic program BA in English, BSS in Sociology, BSS in Information Studies, and B.Sc. in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology on 7 May 2024. The workshop started with a welcome address by the Director of IQAC, Professor Sufia Islam.
Professor Dr S.M. Kabir, a Member of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council and Former Quality Assurance Specialist of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, was a keynote speaker. Prof. Kabir briefly explained the various aspects of “Preparation for Accreditation: Documentation and Evidence,” such as procedures, tools, and preparation of self-assessment reports (SAR) for the accreditation process.
The session was highly interactive. Thirty-one faculty members, along with IQAC staff and administrative heads, participated in this event. There was an open Q&A at the end of the session. Participants thanked the Bangladesh Accreditation Council and EWU authority and appreciated the IQAC for organizing this type of program. The fruitful workshop ended with valuable concluding remarks by Professor Dr Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of East West University.
