Team ‘Nirban’ of East West University Robotics Club Crowns Champion at National Robo Carnival 2026
East West University (EWU) has once again demonstrated its excellence in robotics and technical innovation. Team “Nirban,” representing the EWU Robotics Club, secured the prestigious Championship Title in the "Fire Fighting Bot" contest at the National Robo Carnival 2026, held at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) from February 5–6, 2026
The competition was highly competitive, featuring nearly 150 teams from across the country. In the Fire Fighting category alone, 24 elite teams competed. Through disciplined execution and superior technical planning, Nirban emerged victorious, surpassing Team CUET (Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology) and Team Nuvola (BUET), who secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.
The Winning Team: The champion team, led by Amio Rahman (EEE), included Arnob Barman (CSE), Ariful Islam (CSE), and Mahfuz Al Galib (EEE).
According to the team members, their victory was the result of consistent practice and a commitment to rigorous testing. The organizers emphasized that such competitions are vital for developing the professional skills of future engineers. Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU, extends his heartiest congratulations to Team Nirban for this outstanding achievement and for upholding the university's reputation at the national level.
