Tahia Rahman Bevor student of the Department of Information Studies secure Gold Medal from WSEEC 2024

Tahia Rahman Bevor, an undergraduate student of the Department of Information Studies at East West University, has led her team, "Code Black," to a remarkable victory at the World Science, Environment, and Engineering Competition (WSEEC) 2024, an international robotics event in Jakarta, Indonesia, scheduled from May 12 to 18. Tahia and her team have made history as the first all-female robotics team in Bangladesh, from our university to participate in this prestigious international event, securing a gold medal with their groundbreaking project, "Prohori."

"Prohori," a state-of-the-art rescue robot, is designed to revolutionize search and rescue operations. Equipped with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms, Prohori can make critical decisions during emergency situations.

This victory is a testament to the exceptional talent and hard work of our students. It also highlights the supportive and nurturing environment provided by East West University, encouraging students to push the boundaries of knowledge and creativity. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Tahia Rahman Bevor and the entire "Code Black" team for their extraordinary accomplishment.
