East West University Environmental and Social Club (EWUESC) organized a seminar on “Student Tourism Security” in collaboration with Bangladesh Tourist Police, which was facilitated by the Career Counselling Center of East West University. The event took place at the Lecture Gallery-126 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 25th, 2024. 

The plenary speakers and presenters of the seminar were Md. Naimul Huq PPM, Superintendent of Police (SP), Tourist Police, Dhaka Region, and Momena Akter, Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP), Tourist Police, Dhaka Region. In the seminar, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro Vice-Chancellor of East West University, Nahid Hasan Khan, Head of Career Counselling Center of East West University, Professor A. K. Enamul Haque, Dean & Faculty of Department of Business and Economics and Md. Rezwan Siddiqui, Senior Lecturer of Department of Social Relations and Moderator of EWUESC, were present along with 120 attendees. 

At first, our honourable Pro Vice-Chancellor gave his speech, which encouraged the participants to gain knowledge about tourist police’s help during their tour. After that, Momena Akter presented and provided the necessary information on the topic. Then, Md. Naimul Huq’s precise explanation left no stone unturned to provide participants with the proper knowledge to ensure safety during tours. He also answered the questions of the attendees. Lastly, our honourable Pro Vice-Chancellor handed over the crests to the respected presenters and also received a crest from them. During the seminar, attendees were provided with the cards from the Tourist Police. Lastly, the seminar concluded with a photo session at 1.30 p.m.
