Our honorable moderator, Md Rezwan Siddiqui played the role of the host in the seminar. Almost 200 students attended it.
The seminar aimed to address the issue of plastic pollution and thus, explored sustainable alternatives to plastic, emphasizing the urgent need for environmental conservation. The speakers not only highlighted the need for collective action at the individual, community, and governmental levels to combat plastic pollution effectively but also focused on the scientific aspects of plastic pollution, including the persistence of microplastics in the environment and their adverse effects on human health and biodiversity, in order to create awareness among the attendees regarding the use of plastic. Our Pro Vice Chancellor also shared his insightful thoughts on the issue. Again, after the seminar, the guests hand over some token of appreciation to the college students for showcasing amazing projects on “Planet v/s Plastic” during the “Eco Fair 3.0”.
