Event Description

East West University Robotics Club arranged an introductory robotics workshop named "Kickstart to Robotics" on the 15^th & 16^th of April 2022. The workshop received a widespread response among the general students of the University. Since there were limited seats for the program, only Forty-three students got the chance to attend the workshop. All of them were keen throughout the session to learn something new. The session was divided into four segments. Firstly, the instructor provided theoretical and practical knowledge about basic hardware. In the Second part, participants got the chance to implement that knowledge using the club's equipment. Thirdly, they participated in a quiz competition to examine their learnings. Finally, the respected moderators of EWURC, Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Md Al-Imran, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science & Engineering handed over the certificates and prize to respective quiz attenders and top three winners of the quiz competition. The program was joyous, and it motivated the attendants to think creatively and let their dreams run wild and reach new heights.

This workshop reached several outcomes, including teaching participants about the basic hardware and software required for robotics. The workshop was served to build a strong foundation on which the participants can believe to bring their robotics and electronics ideas into reality. The workshop also encouraged the participants to think critically about everyday situations and find creative solutions to everyday problems. Finally, the workshop attendees got hands-on experience in using the Arduino platform and several sensors and output devices, which will serve to be an invaluable experience for their future and help them understand future workshop materials at a deeper level.
