Event Description

The EWU Model UN Club has launched an intra-campus “East West University General Assembly” for the in-house participants of East West University with the theme “Endorsing Global Inclusiveness for Congenial Cohesion.”. It was a two-day-long conference that was held from August 19 to 20, 2023. There were about 166 students from our own EWU.

From this conference,  our students got another opportunity to enjoy the essence and the taste of diplomacy and negotiation. The sole aim of this conference was to enrich and involve our students more about the ideas of the Model United Nations and provide a platform for them to exercise and prove their leadership potential.

‘There is a world beyond text books'. From trivial issues to terrible crises, everything can be solved with diplomacy and appropriate policy. This UNGA was the platform where they got to put their fresh perspective on the table and learn how the diplomats get it done. They have completed an academic simulation of real UN committees and addressed crucial issues in the present-day world.

In this conference, participants, otherwise known as delegates, were allocated a country and a committee with an agenda. And they were tasked with representing their nation as closely as possible, in alignment with the real world.
