Event Description

IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of EWU has recently organized a 2-days long workshop on Python on 16th & 17th March. This event was a virtual event conducted via Zoom. The main keynote speaker was Kh. Tanjim Asharaf (Python Developer, Creative IT Institute). This event was very successful because on the first day there were 100+ participants and on the 2nd day there were 70 participants from all departments like Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and students participated in this event. This event started at 7 PM (GMT+6) on both days. On the first day of the event, the instructor gave some introductory lectures on Python. He discussed why python coding is very interesting. What type of benefit we have got by learning python programming. He said that python has very easy syntax, and a non-programmer can also understand the program. It is very useful as it has a lot of built-in functions present in this language. He gave some basic coding ideas on the first day. On the second day, he taught us some advanced coding in the python language. He used many library functions and described the functions very patiently. His teaching style and his detailed explanation of the basics were very beneficial to beginners. This event was concluded by encouraging the participant to ask any doubts, and the instructor answered all of the questions. This event was so informative that the outcome from this event could help the participant in the future.
