On 26th November, 2020, IEEE EWU Student Branch organized a webinar on “Opening Doors to the Trending Technology: Intellection for Capstone Projects”. It was a one-hour webinar. The Capstone project is one of those steps which will help a student to become more capable and confident for having a good career. One's capability to do research, analyze, and synthesize one's own stuff can be done through capstone projects. The main speaker of the event was ‘Mr. Fakir Mashuque Alamgir’- who is currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) at EWU. The Chair of this event was the Branch counselor of IEEE EWU Student Branch ‘Nusrat Jahan Ananna’- lecturer, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) at EWU. She welcomed everyone in her introduction speech and gave consent to start the webinar. In this webinar, Mr. Alamgir provided a brief on the capstone project. He showed a PowerPoint slide where he gave ideas on various kinds of capstone projects. At first, he discussed what a capstone project is, why it is so important. He then provided a speech where he focused on the possible fields which have good potentiality. Such as- Renewable Energy, Machine Learning, IOT etc. He also demonstrated why these fields are important. He provided good knowledge for the students who had almost zero

 knowledge on the Capstone project. He then took some ideas of the participants and gave necessary advice whether they should go on for that idea or not. He also took some questions from the participants and answered them. He also urged them to be aware of the latest technology so that they can put themselves along with the technology. More than 100 participants registered for this webinar and it reached over 5000 people. The Branch Counselor of IEEE EWU Student Branch thanked everyone at the end of the webinar for co-operating with IEEE EWU SB. Students of not only from EWU, but also many other universities, including BUET were also present in the webinar. Many foreign students and faculties along with the alumni of EWU and the representatives of other IEEE Student Branches were also present in the webinar.
