Event Description

On 25th September 2021, IEEE EWU Student Branch in association with IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of EWU made the opportunity to know more about higher study opportunities and the application process in the USA. This event was a virtual event via “Google Meet”. There were about 45 participants present at this event and two keynote speakers held the participant's attention until the event ended. The event started at 8:00 p.m. (GMT+6). One keynote speaker was Lubna Kader (Graduate Research Assistant, MS in Chemistry, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.), another one was Firoz Ahmed (Graduate Teaching Assistant, Chemistry Doctoral Program, Wayne State University, USA.). They talked about the minimum requirement for applying, the process of emailing the professor, how to apply to a university, what documents are needed for applying, and the admission process in the US. The participants asked many questions to the speakers and the speakers answered these questions patiently. This event ended by thanking two keynote speakers and the participants because they made this event successful. 

In the near future, we hope that IEEE East West Student Branch will organize such an information session again.
