Event Description

This flood relief program in Comilla, Monohorgonj Upojila involved a multi-faceted approach to aid flood victims.  Five professional rescue teams were deployed, and relief supplies were distributed regularly.  A 5-day medical camp was established, providing essential care to those suffering from flood-related diseases, injuries, and common ailments.  The camp was staffed with doctors and nurses offering round-the-clock care, supported by 9,000 taka worth of medical equipment.  Recognizing the limited cooking options for affected families, the program focused on delivering dry food and, in collaboration with the Leo Club of Dhaka Imperial, prepared and delivered 300 packed meals.  The final food delivery reached over 300 families across 7 villages.  The program's success was enhanced through partnerships with the Leo Club of Dhaka Imperial and the Rotaract Club of East West University-RACEWU, which facilitated efficient food distribution and community mapping.  The program demonstrated a comprehensive effort to address both immediate and long-term needs of the flood-affected communities.
